Bugbear June
In the last few months (really since March) I've been drawing pictures of pumpkinheaded Bugbears, inspired by this classic depiction of them in OD&D Supplement I:
I am almost certain this image was also a direct inspiration to the Gloranthan Jack O Bear, a bear with a pumpkin for a head.
I have now done about 10 of these, with plans on doing more. As I have been posting them on the Gay Brazilian OSR Discord server, mtb kept calling it Bugbear June, and so it now has picked up and others also have done drawings or writing about pumpkin headed bugbears!
I will use this post to collect any that I find, but I will not include mine - those you can just find on my bluesky and I will eventually collect them into a zine. No, this is for everyone else who's going along with this stupid and silly idea!
